Ging Gang Gooli

Ging gang gooli, gooli, gooli, wash, wash,
ging gang goo, ging gang goo.
Ging gang gooli, gooli, gooli, wash, wash,
ging gang goo, ging gang goo.

Oh, oh, oh, ay la,
Oh ay la shay la,
Oh ay la shay la, shay la oh.
Oh, oh, oh, ay la,
Oh ay la shay la,
Oh ay la shay la, shay la oh.
Sha la, wala, shala, wala,
Sha la, wala, shala, wala,
Oompah, oompah, oompah, oompah.

(Half of the group sings "Oompah, oompah, etc. while the other half of the group sings the first four lines "Ging gang gooli" etc. Everyone joins in at "Oh, oh, oh, ay la" etc.

After each side has had a turn at the "melody" everyone ends with an "Oh." If anyone continues with an "Oompah," then the group sings the "Sha la, wala, shala, wala" again trying to end on "OH!"

(Note from Moses -

When I teach this song during the weekend counselor trainings, it's always interesting for me to look at the counselors who are foreign exchange students while we're doing this song and after the song is finished to see what kind of an expression is on their faces. Usually it's a look of confusion and wondering about whatever it is that the song means. I usually explain that it's a song with very deep meaning, NOT!)
